Role Descriptions

• Finance Coordinator - responsible for working with the Region Chair to create the yearly Region R budget and advise chapters on record keeping and accounting procedures

• Extension Coordinator - responsible for making the first contact with an interested individual and for overseeing all of the extension efforts in the Region

• Awards and Recognition Coordinator - works with the Section Chairs and Region Chair to promote National, Regional, and Sectional awards and responsible for collecting nominations for Region awards

• Communications & Media Coordinator - responsible for creating and sharing Sectional, Regional, and National information on the Region R social media accounts

• Bylaws Review Coordinator - responsible for being up to date on all of the bylaws and policies in the Region and for helping chapters with parliamentary procedure

• Leadership Development Coordinator - person chapters go to with any leadership questions and promote leadership opportunities both within and outside of the fraternity

• Membership Coordinator - help chapters with recruitment and retention strategies and events and keep up to date on APO policies and procedures in regards to membership

• Alumni Relations Coordinator - advise chapters in ways to keep their alumni involved, promote alumni associations and help in their creation, and serve as chair of the Region R Alumni Council

• Volunteer and Development Coordinator - identify volunteer needs at the Region and Section level, help the Region Chair and Section Chairs build up their volunteer teams, and work with the Region Chair and Section Chairs to plan IGNITE and RAVE

• Advisor Development and Engagement Coordinator - advise chapters on how to recruit and retain alumni and work with chapters on how to have advisors that exist more than just on paper

• Service and Scouting Coordinator - help chapters develop their four-fold service program and help plan a yearly service event for all of Region R to attend

• Fellowship Coordinator - help chapters develop their fellowship program and help plan a yearly fellowship event for all of Region R to attend

• Region Information Officer - the volunteer who chapters and advisors turn to when they have questions about Officer Portal

• Secretary - keep the minutes during Region R Volunteer meetings

• Webmaster - keep the website up to date with the latest information especially after there has been a change in section and/or region leadership

• Historian - keep an accurate list of the history of the Region including list of conferences, Region R awards, and Region R and Section DSK recipients

• Quartermaster - in charge of the Region property and making sure the inventory list is up to date

• Conference Advisor - assist with the planning and promoting of conferences in the Region along with PORQ Area Conference and National Convention

• Extension Coach - the main person who helps guide a chapter from the interest phase to becoming an active chapter
