Region R officially began on December 30th, 2018 at the 2018 National Convention in Austin, TX. National Voting Delegates had approved the plan for region realignment at the Pittsburgh National Convention two years prior. Region R was designed to include all of New England. Region R currently has three sections total: Sections R-1 through R-3. The inaugural region chair elected was Collette D'Errico, who was sworn in on December 30th, 2018.
